Product Overview:
KYN28-12 is an indoor metal-clad withdrawable AC switchgear system designed for medium-voltage power distribution networks up to 12 kV. Based on IEC 62271 metal-enclosed switchgear architecture, the system is engineered to meet the requirements of utility, industrial, commercial, and infrastructure applications that demand high operational reliability, system safety, and flexible configuration.
The switchgear adopts a standardized, compartmentalized, and modular design, integrating withdrawable vacuum circuit breakers, current and voltage transformers, protection and control devices, and complete mechanical interlocking systems within a robust metal-clad enclosure. This architecture ensures a high level of operational safety, clear functional separation between compartments, and convenient maintenance through withdrawable breaker design, enabling safe isolation, inspection, and replacement without disturbing adjacent equipment.
KYN28-12 is compatible with modern protection relays, metering devices, and communication interfaces, enabling integration into intelligent power distribution systems and supporting condition monitoring, remote operation, and efficient operation and maintenance strategies. The switchgear is widely applicable in power substations, industrial plants, commercial facilities, and infrastructure projects, providing a safe, reliable, and scalable solution for medium-voltage power distribution and control.
Standards Compliance
Manufactured and assembled by RKP Dreams in accordance with applicable standards, including IEC 62271-200, IEC 62271-1, and IEC 62271-102, KYN28-12 combines proven medium-voltage switchgear design principles with RKP Dreams’s engineering integration capability, customization flexibility, and strict quality control. The system supports multiple rated current configurations and verified short-circuit performance, allowing it to be tailored to different network capacities and project requirements.
Product Features:
-
Metal-clad and compartmentalized designFully metal-enclosed structure with functional separation of busbar, circuit breaker, cable, and low-voltage compartments, providing enhanced operational safety and compliance with IEC 62271-200 requirements.
-
Withdrawable vacuum circuit breakerEquipped with a withdrawable vacuum circuit breaker mounted on a truck mechanism, allowing safe insertion, withdrawal, and isolation for maintenance without affecting adjacent feeders.
-
Verified short-circuit and switching performanceDesigned and type-tested for rated short-circuit making, breaking, and withstand currents, ensuring reliable operation under fault conditions and compliance with utility and industrial network requirements.
-
Flexible rated current configurationsSupports multiple rated current options (e.g., 2500 A and 3150 A), enabling adaptation to different load capacities and system designs within the same switchgear platform.
-
Comprehensive mechanical interlocking systemReliable interlocking prevents incorrect operation, such as breaker insertion or withdrawal under load, earthing switch operation when the breaker is closed, and access to live compartments.
